About
Eruption Digital is the independent studio of Mitchell Newton.
The studio
I design and build games, web apps and AI-driven experiences. Each one starts as an idea I can't stop thinking about and gets built, refined and shipped under the Eruption Digital name.
Right now that means ComfyPix, a pixel-art nook building suite that's live in the browser, and an AI animal companion that's in development.
The name
In 2025 my partner and I travelled to Guatemala, and I came home in love with the place: its landscapes and volcanoes, the jungle, the patterns woven into its textiles, and the warmth of the people we met.
Near Antigua, Volcán de Fuego erupts every few minutes, day and night. Watching it after dark, glowing against the sky, stuck with me. Eruption Digital is named for that: steady energy that builds until it breaks through.
